About us

Marco A. Borghesi, originally from Brescia near Lake Garda, has gained more than 10 years experience as General Manager in Italian restaurants all over central London. Together with his fiancée Nikola, he has now fulfilled the ultimate dream to open his own restaurant in Teddington. Marco, with his hospitable Italian nature, makes his guests always feel welcome and takes personal care of them.

Head-Chef Massimiliano Grandi (below centre) is originally from Rome, where he trained as a chef and subsequently obtained his Hotel & Catering Diploma. Gathering extensive experience in renowned hotels and restaurants in Italy, he came to London in 2004. Following his latest position as Head Chef at Riva Restaurant in Barnes, he joined Al Borgo in September 2009. Massimiliano's passion for Italian cuisine is ever present in the preparation and presentation of his creative dishes.
